COP26

So, where do we have to go to spot the VIP jets arriving for COP26 in Glasgow? GLA? PIK? EDI?

I saw PIK mentioned as the main one.
Certainly plenty of parking space there.
Some of the VVIP's are apparently staying in Edinburgh though.

The rail unions have voted to strike over the conference, as have the binmen. But its ok, the city will be draped in plastic bunting.

Meanwhile, as renfrew says, the private jets will be parking at PIK free of charge according to one newspaper this morning.

nearly, it might be a long wait for the next train

"Hogg [of the RMT] told BBC Radio's Good Morning Scotland programme there will be no trains running anywhere in Scotland during COP26 if the strikes go ahead."

Lots of aircraft now making their way into GLA, PIK and a EDI for COP.

Somewhat ironically, some are drop and go....and route GLA-PIK! Could not make it up, especially for a climate conference!! 🤭

A G550 departing GLA declared a Mayday (later cancelled) after take off about 30mins ago. Did a circuit and landed safely.

Couple of Easy's had to enter the hold briefly at Lanark.

A340 Head of State?

A possible head of state A340 heading into GLA. Anyone know which country it is from? Did not appear on FR24.
