Did anyone see the AN225 as it flew over southern England around 16.15pm today (30th Aug)? Blue sky, but just enough cloud to make the white fuselage difficult to spot.

It went straight over the top of me while I was walking up the hill - didn't notice it!

I did think of you treadigraph when I looked at the flightpath south of London. Perhaps it will be back this way again in the not too distant future.

Saw it at Farnborough many years ago... a well-embellished memory has the wing tip over the crowdline during take off and landing!
Actually around the time it went over it went over I was by a dead fox on the roadside and cursing the bloody council for insisting you use "my account" to report such matters rather than just an email address. So the locals can deal with it though I wouldn't mind betting they don't bother and it's still there on Sunday...

A slight drift on this topic, anyone know on the AN-12 Cargo aircraft with a crew of 5, 2 pilots, 1 flight engineer, 1 radio op, 1 navigator. What's the position of the guy sat in the middle of the two pilots helping to fly the aircraft. His he another flight engineer?
