Climb thrust and autopilot engagement

Need some clarifying here please on the 737-800

qoute from the FCOM:

automatic reduction to climb thrust occurs up on reaching the selected thrust reduction altitude which is shown on the FMC CDU TAKEOFF REF page 2/2 during preflight, or when the airplane levels off in ALT HOLD or VNAV PTH. Pilot entries can be made to override the default value. Allowable entries are 800 feet to 9999 feet

Lets say thrust reduction altitude is set at 1500 AAL and you engage CMD A/B below this. For argument sake 400ft. Will the autopilot switch the TO thrust to climb thrust which is displayed on the TMA.

"No" is too short a reply for PPrune to accept. So the poster added "Extra characters" so as to reach and exceed the minimum length.
