Commercial Flying Still Fun

Its a beautiful autumn day here in Cape Town. Sat here in my house to the SW of FACT (you can see my blue dot) saw an Emirates 77W lowish and in a right turn over False Bay having departed off the Southerly runway....EK normally turn left off the Southerly or otherwise do a tight 180 degree right turn before heading NE.

Opening up my flight tracker it seems the glorious day was too much to resist for the crew and they gave the passengers a spectacular Cape Town Table Mountain/Atlantic coast departure. We often get inbounds and outbounds taking the long way round on fine days (especially LH), but this one was superb, with a full face track orbit, so equal views for both sides of the cabin. Well done EK!
