UA198 - LAX-PVG Return
Los Angeles-Shanghai, diverted to San Francisco (?) with a "technical issue".
They were over the Aleutian Islands.
Any idea on this one, or why they would divert to KSFO and not just go back to KLAX?
Return flight out of SFO showing cancelled?

SFO is a major UAL maintenance base? Additionally, it's quite possible that there was a spare aircraft available at SFO. Decisions are made due with consideration given to many aspects.
