Lydd Rumblings

One was having a stroll along Camber Sands yesterday morning in the lovely, albeit chilly weather, when there came a distinct rumbling that lasted no more than 30seconds. It sounded to me as if a jet aircraft either took off, or landed using reverse thrust. Lydd (EGLD) was 5miles away, but when looking on the FR24 and PF playbacks, nothing showed, except the Bristows Coastguard AW139. Time was approx 10.40am-10.50am on the 22nd Jan. Would anyone with access to an ADSB playback facility be able to put me out of my curiosity agony ? Or maybe it was a ghost flight from Manston :-)

By chance, my wife and myself were in the area at the same time, or more accurately Rye Harbour and Nature Reserve which you'll know are next door to Camber Sands, having stayed overnight in the lovely town of Rye. Have to admit though, heard nothing out of the ordinary. Readers may know that the websites Adsbexchange and Heathrow-London both often show flights that are concealed on Flightradar24, though don't know if they have a playback facility.

Edit to point out that the second of the two sites actually uses Planefinder for its display.
And also to mention a fabulous ale by the name of Curious IPA, 2 pints of which were much enjoyed at the hotel!

There is (or used to be) a military firing range at Hythe, which I don't think is too far away?

There's a ghost ship on the Goodwin Sands apparently. Could be a ghost plane at Lydd?

Thanks for the replies, however no sign of an answer to my query, so curiosity has killed the cat :-) The range seemed closed when I drove past and the sound heard was typical of and aircraft either taking off, or landing using reverse thrust. Biz jets do use Lydd, so no doubt that's what it was (unless it wasn't ;-) ).
