Your next broadband network? The airlines

If Airborne Wireless Network has it's way, it will use commercial airline WIFI to provide broadband network bandwidth around the world. Working with the FAA and the AC leasing companies, not the airlines, to utilize commercial airliner WIFI bandwidth to ground stations. Kind of like what Comcast did with their cable modems allowing any passing Comcast customer to connect to your modem in your home for free (unless you fight them to disable that feature).

Interestingly, they are starting testing with two 757s out of Roswell, NM and a van (presumably as a ground station).
