AN225 to Doncaster Sheffield

Just a heads up for those interested. According to its Facebook page, and now a local forum, the AN225 is due in to Doncaster Sheffield on 11/11. I believe the advertised arrival time is 13.40 but I guess that is subject to change!!!

Oh my goodness. Not only have they advertised the date, but they've even stated a time. I really hope that Maid Marian International isn't overwhelmed with people coming to see an aeroplane arriving at the airport. I trust that the police have been advised and will take appropriate action.

Or am I being a bit cynical?

Now rescheduled to the day before at 10.40 ... keeping us guessing

They'll announce it 15 mins before it actually happens, but don't worry - they'll be live-streaming the arrival. The stream will keep stopping and they'll miss the actual landing, but whatever.

Hopefully some lucky amateur with a camphone will catch the thing barrel-rolling on its approach

Well, no barrel roll but got permission to do a low pass first approach before going around and landing. Sent the assembled throng into 7th heaven by all accounts!
