Angry Al-Kaida targeting Germany

According to the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), the German equivalent to the CIA, so called Al-Kaida sleepers have plans to bring down an aircraft in or out of a major German TMA by means of shoulder fired missiles or radio controlled aircraft filled with explosives. The most likely target is believed to be FRA but although the threat is imminent no concrete plans have been discovered so far. Also no definition of the carrier targeted was made, though an Al-Kaida radio transmission intercepted in Afghanistan a while ago indicates that the main target is to inflict casualties and damage to a German city.
Bundesgrenzschutz (Border police) as well as the Bundeskriminalamt BKA, (FBI), are on high alert and the German airspace is being secured on a somewhat higher than usual level.

Couldn't it be that they have " plans " to bring down a "plane " using another " plane ", although no such " plan " has yet been uncovered ???
Just a thought.
Anyway, thanks for sharing this. I'll take immediate action by trying not to release my bowels everytime I fly into FRA. That's about all I can do.

Thanks for the correction.

fmcg - although there are some really good performing R/C aircraft out there, I really doubt such a scenario being possible, but that’s what intelligence apparently found out.

An internal german State-Police paper has been leaked to the press which caused this article. Sounds like (US?) authorities monitored somebody talking about different ways to attack a/c in Germany. Seems not to be indicating some imminent attack or specific ways or places.
(Having no internal sources here just the media)
