Military Jet leaving Edinburgh EGPH
Just witnessed a Typhoon (I believe) leaving Edinburgh (EGPH) from RWY06.

Seemed strange given Leuchars is only a short distance away.

Any thoughts on why it was in Edinburgh?

Seemed strange given Leuchars is only a short distance away.
Practice overshoots by Leuchars-based fast jets, with the occasional landing, have been happening at EDI since at least the 1960s.

But the Leuchars Typhoons moved last year to Lossiemouth, so that's probably where it was from.
