DUBAI AIRWING 747SP

Rumoured to be a false cockpit indication - engine fire

I think you'll find they were doing an engine run and had the presence of mind to have a fire-truck in attendance.

Question Capt. Hodgson

Speaking of the Dubai Royal Flight. Anyone know if Capt. Steve Hodgson is still in their employ or his whereabouts please. Flew with him in SQ and have lost contact for some time now.

Many thanks

Steve Hodgson - R.I.P.

Very sad to say that Steve died of cancer about a year ago.

Would that be Steve Hodgson who was awarded his flying brevet at Leeming in June 1967?

The Steve that sadly died of cancer last year flew Hunters for the Abu Dhabi Defence Force in the early to mid seventies and then moved to Gulf Air and subsequently on to SIA before the Dubai Royal Flight, does that help?
