QR 787 diverts to BUD

News headlines scream of "emergency landing", airport grapevine suggest tech diversion. Happened around 13pm LT, QR196 BRU-DOH, passengers deplaned, at present board lists departure slated for 21:25LT. Interestingly DOH arrivals still lists flight to be 'expected' at 18:13LT (over two hours overdue now). FlightStats track shows the flight did an abrupt 180 over eastern Hungary and made a straight course for a 13R approach.

Update: QR dispatched a 320 to BUD to pick up stranded pax (and presumably also bringing needed parts), seems like the 787 is here to stay for a while
