E3 Sentry above RAF Henlow 17/05/14

Does anybody know the reason an E3 Sentry was tearing up the sky at my guess, 6-8 Thousand feet over RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire this afternoon?

Fantastic sight, much more so than the dreary Luton bound regulars.

You mean a 4 engined B737 fuselage with a mushroom on top is so much more exciting than a 2 engined B737 fuselage minus the mushroom?

Sad ... Very Sad http://www.pprune.org/images/infopop/icons/icon13.gif

It's the nearest most of us will get to seeing a flying saucer.

LOL!

I got excited about a McDonnell Douglas the other day. Is that bad?

It was climbing through FL210 so I couldn't even see it properly.
