Am in SXM quite often and am always amazed at the number of people standing right at the perimeter fence, quite often people get blown over.

Safety glass was scattered all over the parking area. The airport authorities were informed of the incident immediately and sent out inspectors to investigate. The matter will be settled between the airport authorities and KLM.
That implies compensation? Dumb observation coming up: If the car park was signposted - why pay anything to anyone? Folks going there can see and hear the risk!
