VS A380 coming?

A Virgin engineer of my acquaintence is about to start A380 training. Does this mean VS 380'S are coming soon, or is it for contract maintenance?

Expect to see VS A380 in 2018, unless VS CEO changed his mind since July 2013:-

Either a contract or a mistake and he's actually doing 330 training. Where does he/she work?

I've made a mental note to buy a hat in 2018, ready to eat should Virgin ever take delivery of even a single A380.

What about a leased A380, it's a possibility especially as one of the owners has many of them in it's fleet ?

It would seem that my corporate awareness is a little out of date for the pedantic amongst us. Perhaps the OP's mate will be doing line maintenance for SQ at LHR as they are an alliance partner who might wish to farm it out ?

re vs A380

vs still do have 6 deferred/delayed orders whatever you wish to call them and 6 more a/c on options
total 12
they are not cancelled

an renouncement was made summer 2013 was supposed to outline future plans for the deferments and delivery was now delayed to 2018
