Commercial pilot wanted for quick chat re film development

I'm a screenwriter in the process of writing a movie set on an old 747-100 but in the present day.

I'd love to speak to a commercial pilot about some of the procedures involved in flying a plane like this and what standard communication and emergency communication procedures are.

Unlike most airplane movies, I'd like this one to be as authentic as possible given the premise!

I'd be happy to swap a few questions via email but phone or skype would probably be better.

You're not off to a very good start when it comes to authenticity - you could count the number of 747-100s still flying on one hand, and have some fingers left over ...

Well it's not going to overtly be a 747-100 - simply an 'old plane'

I'm assuming that it's a 100 because of the length of upper deck (9/10 windows, one escape), unless there were 200s made in that size too? There's only one wide-body airliner available in the UK for filming, so that dictates what there is to work with...!

The number of windows it has is the least of your problems.

I've written two aviation themed screenplays (not produced) and I wish you luck...but aviation themed movies don't seem to sell well, at least if there is a shred of reality to them

I think that aircraft was used in casino royale as a new "sky bus" aircraft or somesuch.

There is a 747 at Dunsfold with a normal engine configuration too. But exteriors tend to be CG these days anyhow.

I haven't watched Bond for some time. I wonder how well it would fly in that configuration? Too much stress on a single pylon?

Slightly better handling with 1 outboard or 2 engines inop on the same side -- both engines are on the inboard pylon...

That Dunsfold picture might be an old picture of the current aircraft before the engine surgery.
