Help, please.

Can anyone help, please. Only idle curiosity, really, but watching on Flightradar24, and seeing aircraft on it tracking over (or very nearly over) my location, I want to know the flight times (-ish) of these routes, all from Heathrow to :-

Los Angeles
San Francisco
Houston
Phoenix
Seattle
Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can also get Google to give you scheduled block times for any flown route with a query like this:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Fl...don+to+seattle

(you can use IATA codes instead of airport/city names in the query if you know them)

OK, so the first of those links gives (Seattle) 8h27 in either direction, the second gives 9h35 WB and 9h10 EB.

I suspect the second one might be a teensy bit more accurate.

Edit: and the first one thinks that Seattle to 'London Airport' is almost 800km shorter than to Battersea Heliport

From British Airways | Book Worldwide Flights & Holidays

Los Angeles 11.05
San Francisco 10.55
Houston 10.15
Phoenix 10.40
Seattle 10.35

These times are "gate to gate", not flight times. Flight times vary from day to day depending on winds. Other airlines times may vary depending on aircraft used.

And of course non of these sites give out prevailing wind speeds which will determine the actual flight time. These days UK - SIN is around 12.30, but SIN - UK is around 13.20. Atlantic flights are a good deal longer east to west and a good deal shorter west to east.

Click on aircraft when viewing on Flight Radar and copy the Flight Number. Enter the Flight Number into a web search.

For example 'BA285 Flight Aware'

See activity for a current flight or scroll down for history

British Airways (BA) #285 ? FlightAware
