Candles/candle jars in hold luggage

Hi all
I'm heading to my mums in the canaries and wonder if I would be allowed to take a wax candle and a candle jar (yankee style) in my hold luggage?

Absolutely no problem! No wires, no batteries, no timer, no detonator and no charge. The only organic matter would be the wax and the wick.

I'm wondering why you think it might not be allowed.

While those Yankee candles (or any wax candle for that matter) are permitted, they would make a security screener look twice at the monitor.

The wax shows up as a very noticeable solid orange.

I had one in my cabin bag once and I just took it out to show them. It was fine.

It was at heathrow too.

You'll be fine.
