AF 958 - (777 ER) Double engine damage (Douala)
Hi Guys & Gals;
Normally read with interest but SLF so first post
To a very well travelled Mariner, the AF 777 parked in Douala looks very forlorn. Rumour has it locally that suffered double engine bird strike on landing on 7th July in Douala, Cameroon....

To my untrained eye looks like they would need to change both donks but stand to be corrected by those who know better. I dont think she is going anywhere soon.....
There has been some very nasty weather here in past few days so maybe related.

Servus Master..,
by the looks of it, I wouldn't put it down on any weather... if they hit hail, the nose cone would look different and also the windshields would have been shattered. Windscreens look good to me...
There must have been some other foreign object the cause of that fan blade being broken or bent...
Seems engineering took it out already, as they fixed the Fans with some tape so they don't move in the wind.
Waiting for a new Fan blade, balance it and good to go...
