How Much Time?

I am currently in the midst of developing an 'app' (iOS & Android) for mobile devices, predominantly 'tablets' as opposed to smart-phones and a part of the design would be to integrate with a supplier of live flight data to provide a 'window' or 'pane' that displays regionalised/local activity (perhaps a 30nm radius of the current location).

Obviously there is a cost behind this integration in respect of messaging to refresh the display and keep the aircraft movements up to date - perhaps once a minute.

In order for me determine how much of a component this needs to be in my pricing model, I need to understand how much time 'the average spotter' spends 'spotting' - perhaps how many hours per week.

So, the question is ... How much time do you as an active plane spotter spend each week spotting? (In all forms, i.e. at the airport, on the couch using Radar24 for example, or pointing your phone at the sky to crib a 'fliv'?!

Thanks!
