Twin Otter & ADSB

Hello,
I've noticed over the last month or so that at least two of Isles of Scilly Skybus' Twin Otters have been transmitting ADSB data, which they haven't done before and which is unusual for such small regional aircraft. Does anyone know if there is any particular reason for this?
thanks,
Richard

The Twin Otter fleet has recently had a new avionics kit installed which now has Mode S capabilities.
