If it had been profitable and not taken out of service, do you think there would be more supersonic aircraft now?

Are the big aircraft manufacturers scared of trying to make a supersonic aircraft
again as it's too much of a risk?

It would be interesting to know if, had it still been in service, what aviation would look like now. Would it be the same or would it be completely different?

Probably not, at least not until public opinion changed to where the common person would not object to being subjected to daily sonic booms caused by supersonic airlines passing overhead on a regular basis.

Or, supersonic aircraft design becomes advanced enough to where a supersonic airliner does not create a sonic boom that can be heard or felt by those on the ground under its flight path. Which is being worked on, but for smaller aircraft corporate aircraft size, not A-380 or 747 sized.

For a supersonic airliner to be profitable, it will have to carry about twice as many people as the Concorde was able to carry.
