Question Virgin 787 Dreamliners/Boeing 747-400 ?

Please excuse me If I am posting in the wrong area? I need conformation of when Virgin will be rolling out the Boeing 787 dreamliners out from Manchester. I was really looking forward to travelling on the 747-400 VS77 (my favourite plane!!! In Dec to Grantly Adams...but now am fearful that it might be one of the currently grounded 787's.....has anyone any inside info.

Thank you so much !

FWIW, Virgin 787's aren't due until 2014 but are you sure you're flight won't be an A330 that fly a part of the leisure program now? This may also help:-

Unless ANA, JAL, United, Air India or Quatar decide to sell some of theirs to Virgin, I very much doubt it! ;-)

"u" must be kidding.
The 787s are for LHR only I believe, MAN will be B744 and A330 in the medium term.

Have a look at the schedule before you book. I've booked for October from LGW, its a mix of 744/A330 to BGI. Had to pick my days to make sure of a 744.

Optimistic at the moment?

On a serious note, wondering how much of a delay any battery changes will have.
