Whoops, it's formating fighters over London again!

1:05pm: Just noticed a loose formation (echelon starboard) of four fighters or other small aircraft con-trailling their way northwest across London - more Typhoons per chance? The rest of the office is agog too; makes a change from the Buses, Boeings and Met EC145s that normally fill the sky outside...

Blimey, and a second four in a (more or less) box fomation behind at 1:18pm as I type...

And a RN Sea King clattered over this morning, what a day this is!

Cheers

The fast jets over London were 6 Eagles returning to Lakenheath, with thanks to FighterControl.

There were actually 8 in total, they were coming back from the TLP exercise which was held at Albacete, Spain.

- same way same day? Seriously, there is no need for 'tight' formations in transit unless you are IMC and then the 'ground dwellers' would not see anyway. Sometimes all SORTS of things go on at the back...............tisk tisk

A post I made here earlier today has been removed.
(Sad, I know...)

I can only assume that making a mild remark about the pedantic nature of some posters and spelling obsessives isn't allowed. Careful out there!
(I wonder if this one will vanish also?)
