An-12? overhead Epsom

An-12? overhead Epsom
Not an expert on these strange sounding creatures but can anyone who is rather more of an anorak than me confirm if there was one overhead the Epsom area at 1315 BST today.
I was working in a loft when I heard it - certainly turboprop , not the usual suspects of Hercules, ATR, Dash 8, Q400's. Deep resonance most unusual. 8/8 cloud and heavy rain at the time so no chance of any visual ID even if I'd got out of the loft in a hurry.
Any ideas?

I have no idea if it was an AN-12 (or AN-22 if it's still flying ?), but there are daily flights from bases and airports in the UK towards Europe and beyond and vice versa, so in all probability it was what you heard. Or a Transall ?
