Robinson Helicopters

Very few of these occurrences list the PIC as a CPL holder, so one can assume that pretty much all of these incidents, aside from those where an individual was under training, involved PPL rated pilots. It is unfortunate therefore for Robinson that the reputation of their brand has been tarnished by those individuals who had insufficient experience for the conditions and circumstances in which they chose to operate.

It would be interesting to compare the stats for Robinsons with those for other production piston-engined helos such as Schweizers and Enstroms. I suspect that the accident rate per flight hour wouldn't be that different, it's just that there are many more Robinsons around.

Incidentally, good to see that the mods are cracking down on abusive posts like that of the OP's from earlier today, now deleted.
