I really hope they upgrade one of the two B777's to an A380, although I'm happy with how it currently is, a sunset / sunrise video would be great to shoot

Oh goody, goody. A video of a B777 landing, just what a Professional Pilots website has been waiting all these years for.

Should be in the Spotters section, me thinks. Or is there some point that I am missing?

Thanks for your valuable contribution shytehawk. For the life of me I can't imagine why the term W@NKER comes to mind!

Oh leave it out.

Makes a nice change from all the bitching on here, and a nice reminder of why we really love our job and how lucky we are to be the envy of so many.

We are all plane spotters at heart even if some of us don't like to admit it.

I am just glad that EK got rid of the 330 of the morning flight. Not bothered about 380, with extra cost they charge for lunchtime flight, and beleive me one trip with a load of Cheshire "golfists" in the bar and you too would be on the Boeing !!.

Interesting i/d.
Do you really mean "manairporspotter"? It's still 'In And Out Of Focus'.
Shouldn't it read:- 'manairpoorspotter'?

Seriously I hope not.

Hardly get to see it as it is.

Would prefer A380 shunted to evening slot and the 777 given 11:30 slot back.

sometime in the next 3 years, their ops at MAN will be 777, A380, A330 & A380 with the A330 being upgraded to 777 after another couple of years.

At least he's posting it in Spotters Corner.

If I was him I'd open up my own You Tube channel to show them to the world but, hey ho, who am I to what he should do!

So is the 777 not permanently on the first morning run yet then?

If I was to cycle up one morning I would be taking a chance on it being the 330 or the 777?

777 is permanently on the mornings. Flight numbers from Left to right in timeline: EK21/22, EK17/18, EK23/24, EK19/20. It's the EK23/24 that would see an upgrade to the 777.

You will never see the A330 on a scheduled flight to Manchester again, the majority of EK 330's are resigned to short haul middle eastern, African and Asian flights now and the 340's are going the same way, with the Newcastle and Glasgow 340's going to the 777 the only EK airbus aircraft in the UK will be the 380.
