A340 landing with jump

Maybe I'm wrong but seems this Airbus A340 from Lan Chile is touching ground with a small jump

I believe the technical term for this type of event is "landing".

The technical term used by the F/O is, "you bounced it again Captain"! ATC will say, "LAN123 take the third bounce to the left".

In fairness to the pilot, it looks like the runway slopes sharply up then a long downward slope starting just after the touchdown point.

So the aircraft didn't bounce as much as the runway projected it up again - a bit like the ramp on the end of an aircraft carrier.

Of course, it could just be the camera angle.

Tricky things, those ski-jump runways. Not many people know about this one at Barajas.
