Airship

Does anyone know what the airship was doing near BHX this afternoon? What seemed to be the same one was over NW London a couple of days ago.

It probably would have been heading towards Wolverhampton Airport. I was there this afternoon and it landed down at about 4pm

Most probably the Goodyear airship. Last year it did a UK and European tour. It seems to be doing the same this year (although I don't know if it's heading to Europe or not)

I happened to be at BHX when it crossed above the threshold of 33. Got a couple of photos of it. It was Goodyear's G-HLEL.

Was that on Wednesday? I was just leaving and heading for the motorway when I saw it in the distance heading Birmingham's way.

Flew into Manchester today with desent over West Yorkshire and thought I saw Goodyear airship over Huddersfield. I know I had been traveling for a long time but I do not usually see airships. Anybody know if my eyes were wrong .

Goodyear Airship.

Was overhead the City of York at tea time today, that's 1700 to 1730 to 'us Yorkies'. It spent most of the time around the Minster and even though it was quiet, the buzzing of the engines became a damn nuisance, like a duo of lawn mowers in an adjacent garden. Just watched 'Around the world by Zeppelin', BBC4, superb. Chug-a-lug.

Is it based at Bobbington?

When Mr Branson had his airships based there I used to take my son to watch them.
