mad_jock (no irony there then?) what planet are you living on? This isn't Communist Russia and we all pay for these assets so a little PR is kind of a good thing. Have you ever been to an Air Show? All your secret squirell assets on view to one and all....
Utter rubbish, it would be identified immediately and if not, an unidentifiable aircraft would set the internet alight and the journos would be right on it.
The only assets that don't generally carry serials are some C130s, Chinooks some other rotary wing on occasion and in doing so only seek to draw massive attention to themselves as it's completely out of the ordainary and a bit of a giveaway.
Paint an aircraft like a cadburys dairy milk, fly it around olympic venues everyone thinks its advertising.
