747 or What?
Hi
I will be flying to Miami on VA on Friday would appreciate the knowledgable advising on the type of Aircraft on this route. I presume it will either be a 747 or Airbus but what model. Thanks for your help.

Searched Virgin Atlantic for Departure Point "Out There Somewhere" and no flights listed.
May want to factor that into the question.
And you did check your ticket I trust. It does say there, on occasion.

VA (actually VS if you mean Virgin Atlantic) only fly to MIA from LHR and the VS005 is operated by a 747-400.
By the way 11Fan, if we want to split hairs, the aircraft type is not mentioned on the ticket, but it would be on the ITR document.

VS005 to MIA is operated by a 747-400 most days but in recent weeks has been being operated by a A340-300 on Tuesdays (and indeed will be so again this coming Tuesday). However, your flight on Friday should be a 744 barring unforeseen technical gremlins.
