Emergency at BHX 14/2/12?

We were inbound to BHX last night at 19.30, pretty much on time despite apparently 150mph headwinds, when the captain told us that another aircraft had declared "a problem" and would have to land ahead of us. When it landed it had to be towed off the runway before normal operation could be restarted. Anyone any idea what happened?

Hi. You may get a better response by posting the question in the BHX section of airlines, airports and routes.
