Air india B744

Hello every one,

I am a big big fan of the Boeing 747-400 and its always an awesome sight whenever i see the 747 in the sky.

I have been doing plane watching these days and wanted to know about the 747 in India.

Air India is the only operator of the 747 and I wanted to know the routes the AI 747 fly .

I know there is one mumbai jeddah hyderabad sector but apart from that i couldn't find out.

If anyone out there knows the entire 747 routes for air india these days .

Thank you.

That is a sad news...

Cause they are the only ones operating in India.

Do you know what all routes they fly these days.

Thanks

OHH yes ...The BA does fly the 744 sometimes to mumbai..

But what i am saying is the only 744 operator in India is Air India and if they plan to phase out then its a sad thing. That would mean no more 747s with any Indian operator..

I am a pilot and would seriously want to fly this one day.
The second aircraft i want to fly is the Concorde.
Do anything think Concorde might get back into service.

Yes, I'm sure Concorde will be back flying soon. She is just having a little rest.

Don't believe all you hear.
I saw the last ever ever Concorde flight when I watched Alfa Foxtrot land at Filton. A very sad day.

I just came to know that Air india will be operating a 747 to mumbai which will land at mumbai at around 9 tuesday morning on runway 14.

I am surely not going to miss that ...the approach path goes above our building about 500-1000 feet or so.

I do hope that i see at least once the concord flying in my lifetime.

You are living in the past

787, 380, 350 just to name a few newer and far more exciting models.

Pilot-India, I have been giving this Concorde flying thing a bit of thought.
G-B0AD is on an aircraft carrier, USS Intrepid, in New York harbour. Now then, if they put a small amount of fuel in her and revved her up to maximum, she could be the first Concorde to take off from an aircraft carrier!
They would have to get the carrier going into the wind, but I would love to be there to see it.

May be now i have to change the thread topic from AI 744 to Concord.

Anyways ya I know about the G-BOAD resting on the intrepid, and in fact i have even visited the Intrepid museum and have seen the concord from inside.

CONCORD IS THE BEST.

Concord can't take off from the intrepid but surely you could try that on the MS simulator. Let know know how it felt haha.

But on a serious note I just hope i can see the concord flying again.

Some of the best things happened in mankind's history and have been discontinued.
1) Concorde
2) Manned moon landings
and of course MJ is dead

And now i am about to see Air India retiring their 747 fleet.

Don't worry, you will soon have all those nice French fighters to look at.

You should have bought the Typhoon, they are much better.

G-BOAD can't fly because BA removed the engines!
