Apache Overhead....

Dear All,

Whilst working from home yesterday (Stanmore based) saw an Apache thudding its way North West over my house..just curious at why it was in the area. I'm not far from Northolt so am used to the usual BizJets, Queen's Flight and Islander "Spy Plane" going over but this was an unusual visitor. Unless of course the Met Police have upgraded their Air Unit a la Blue Thunder lol!!!

I would assume that, like other military helicopter pilots, they are required to navigate the heli routes through the Heathrow Control Zone periodically as part of their continuation training (CT). Either that or Harry was visiting friends.
