How do you account for my non enthusiast friends and colleagues still getting excited for an A380 then? Boys still like their toys given half a chance. The Aer Lingus retro A320 got good press and turns heads and given aircraft do need to be painted on a rolling cycle, I suggest it's not that expensive.

Airlines are pretty canny, They spend a lot of money on market research advertizing etc, If they considered repainting one of their craft in a 1970,s paint scheme would attract customers in numbers they would im sure do it.

As said i suspect the vast majority of Monarch passengers would not even notice or care one way or the other, Flying these days is a evil to be endured for the vast majority of the populace.

The days of joe public getting excited or being remotely interested about the prospect of flying are long gone.

That is exactly what Monarch's latest advertising campaign is all about. Maybe a retro scheme would be a good way of reminding people about 'the good old days'

Pointless reminding people how 'good' it used to be flying, for them to only find out ,how 'bad' it is now, will only generate more complaints Maybe thats the point, get customer service working overtime!!!

What would you like from a Monarch advert then? Surely the same could be said about the Virgin "superpower" cabin crew advert currently showing?

They have decided to remove it since it's not needed. It is being removed from all aircraft but I'm not sure how long this will take.

I can confirm that the new A320 G-ZBAA, will still have the co.uk down the side of the fuselage.
To late for Airbus to change it without a very large fee.

By the looks of things they haven't started removing the .co.uk from any of the aircraft yet.

Sadly, I don't think there's enough of the dear old tub's fuselage remaining, to put the huge new 'Monarch' logo upon it, surely?

Yes, I know 'dear old tub' is probably what the engineers didn't call it, especially the heroes who rode the cherrypicker ten metres up to No.2 engine, in howling wind and rain, to change that wretched air bleed valve ... yet again!

Both G-ZBAD & G-ZBAE should still have the co.uk, however the others still to join the fleet will not.

Another change to the Livery - The winglets are now yellow on the outside. Looks like these will have to be done too when the .co.uk is removed from all the aircraft. (Obviously only the ones which have already been painted in the new colours. There is also no red tips on the wing either.
