Is this real?

I haven't seen this before so apologies if it's been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

It seems like a very risky and incredibly difficult manoeuvre to have accomplished. If it is true, it's most impressive.

There was a real incident a few years ago when a plane (Cessna of some sort I believe) actually landed with the aid of a speeding vehicle. I've done a quick google search but not found any exact details. Maybe someone else can remember more?

I also recall an incident, again many years ago, when someone stood up through the sunroof and pulled the landing gear down on another small plane.

I also recall an incident, again many years ago, when someone stood up through the sunroof and pulled the landing gear down on another small plane.

That was a PA-28R with a hung up main gear leg in Florida in the early 1980s, the car was an Audi. Excellent quick reaction by the PR team the next morning who used the picture on an advert in the Daily Telegraph (at least!): "Audi. When you have a plane to catch".

Seem to recall seeing a vid once where light plane was wanting to land and one of the wheels was missing.

Plane did a low pass whilst they tried to put another wheel on using a large truck which was not fast enough so they used a Merc (I think) with a sun roof, and managed to get the wheel on.

Maybe the same vid as is being referred to above.

If you look carefully at the bottom right hand corner it says "Fictionalisation Do Not Attempt".
