I just love that C**p paper.
So the indication light can talk now can they.
"Light to crew, l suggest you might take a peak at the landing gear old boy".
No the indication message or light, gave a correct indication that the gear was unsafe.

All new airplane model goes through a series of "glitch" fixes in the early years. The only reason 787 gets all the attention is well, it's a hyped up 787 plastic plane.

2nd glitch

A second glitch within the first month of service in Japan has been reported. Rough translation of article.

"On November 21st, at 9:00 am flight 654 (260 passengers) from Okayama to Haneda was delayed for 2 hours and 40 mins while staff rechecked the plane's flight controls. During checks before take-off, the main cockpit screen showed malfunctions in flaps, altitude maintenance, speed control, in fact in all systems related to flight. No mechanical faults could be found however, and when they rebooted the computers, everything seemed to work normally, so the plane took off and flew to Haneda. Subsequently it made a round-trip flight to Hiroshima without incident. This plane is the second of the two purchased by ANA, and is not the one that had the earlier landing gear problem on Nov 6th."

May I add that I have no beef with Boeing or aggro with Airbus.
(I should declare however that I do not like the new composites being used in the Dreamliner and the newer Airbuses.)
