Lufthansa A320 emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland
BBC (UK) and Bild Zeitung (Germany) reporting emergency landing due to "strange smell" in galley, 4 flight attendants injured, normal disembarkation on landing. LH1110 / DLH86E. 96 pax.

I've seen similar when there has been plastic in the oven that was stuck to the bottom of a rack. Smell and fumes are awful as the oven heats up.

there is also a rather infamous story of a flight attendant putting her handbag in one of the ovens when the cleaners were on board during a turnaround, fine until somebody switched it on.
