Collectors Aircraft Models Ltd - Sheraton Skyline, Heathrow
Does anyone know where this (long established) company is now please? I ordered a model from them back in November for my son's 21st, and paid a very substantial deposit as it was a handmade jobbie of the aircraft in which he had obtained his IR. I checked with them in January and they told me that the model would be ready soon.
Having not heard further from them, I called them today with no reply obtained, website is down, and the Sheraton Skyline Hotel tells me that they have vacated their shop in the lobby (and they know nothing more). As I paid by credit card I am not at risk financially (I have advised my card company) but if CAM are still around I would prefer to have the ordered model rather than receiving a refund and starting again.
If anyone has any news, I would be grateful. Thanks.

This link to diecast aircraft forum would seem to indicate that CAM are no more.
Collectors Aircraft Models gone? - Page 3 - DA.C
It is stated that ARD (Aviation Retail Direct) have taken over CAM's catalogue but, probably not their actual business so you will probably need to claim a refund through your credit card and start again.

Many thanks for that - at least this clears the air. I only exchanged emails with the company at the beginning of January and they must have been aware of what was happening then. Never mind - thank heavens for the Consumer Credit Act.
