AF B772 Emergency Landing at KEF

AF B772 enroute CDG-JFK made emergerncy landing at KEF at 1300z "due to sudden illness of Capt" - Aircraft has landed safely.
Alert level II (second highest) in force -

These things happen from time to time. I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. I have no idea what a level II alert is? Is there something relevant in it?
