BA's fleet
If BA are getting rid of all their 757s, than does that mean that ba will be getting rid of their 757s in ther Project Open Sky, and If it does, then what are they replacing it with? And also will they be getting rid of all of ther 744s, as I think that they are the iconic BA aircraft. I was just wondering, thats all.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Open Skies is run as a separate company so they will be keeping their 757s for the forseeable future. They are a different version to the ones which BA have just retired.
The 747-400 will be staying in the fleet in the medium term. There is expected to be a further longhaul aircraft order in the near future so this will give you an indication of what will happen next. BA has recently taken delivery of several 777-300s and a number of 777-200s (in lieu of delayed 787s) with a dozen orders in place for the A380 (plus options).
The next longhaul order is likely to include a mix of 777/787 or Airbus A350. IMHO, there won't be any further A380 orders and there is an outside chance of ordering the 747-800 (there are three already coming to GSS/BA World Cargo).
At the end of the day, it all boils down to which manufacturer will offer the best deal and now that BA no longer exists as an independent company since the merger, expect to see orders diverted between IAG companies.
