Rio runway incident 1953?!

A friend recently tiold me that as a schoolboy he was in a plane (3rd wheel at rear so probably DC3) which failed to take off at Santos Dumont airport, Rio de Janeiro, crashing onto rocks at end of runway (no fatalities),. I've tried by fairly simple googling to find some kind of report, but no success. Anyone know whether/where any online report might be found?

Haven't found anything either. Checked C-46s too. Could be that it was more of an incident than an accident and the a/c wasn't w/o. Other than major accidents, South American records for that era can be a bit sketchy.

Thank you to all respondents. The event was clearly vivid and memorable to a schoolboy, but perhaps not so special in the airline world of the time.
