Plus the chance, of course, of one of them going through Tower Bridge at about 1445Z...

Thanks for posting FL575.

The Harrier GR9 with the retro camouflage scheme should be out next week at RAF Cottesmore.

Are there any pictures, or video, in existence of the Harrier that came home on, after ditching upon, a banana carrying ship around the time of the Falklands conflict?

Phileas Fogg,

Sea Harrier FRS.1, serial ZA176. The incident took place in June 1983.

Chiglet,

I believe so. It is mentioned on page 2 of the Britmodeller thread.

16 Harriers flying over the A1 might cause a few traffic problems! Cue multiple bowing and exits stage left .. hopefully.

1969 was a fine year for technological advances: Harrier enters service, Concorde's first flight and there was something to do with the moon.

And first flight of the 747.

Groundloop,
41 years later we've got the X-Factor, Strictly, Jeremy Vine, Sally Traffic, Baronet Osborne, Heathrow and Abbey National owned by the Spaniards, Dr. Vincec Cable and Nick Clegg.
How did that happen?

OK, so a fine year for technological advances and also the first flight of the 747..

Different priorities for many/most people.

Why no visit to Yeovilton? I can see it from my house!

Can't afford the fuel????
The flight hours should not be a problem.
