Question F22 over North London

Dear All,

My better half (who I suspect may be going slightly mad to quote one Freddie Mercury...) is convinced she saw a distinctly out of the norm plane above our house (NW London) yesterday at about 11.00am. Upon questioning her about its size, configuration et al...we have come to the possbily misguided conclusion that she saw a F22 (or even a F35 !!!???) overhead....personally I think it was a Typhoon but there you go...

Any help on this one?

I can't help but perhaps if you gave more info - where in NW London? What direction was it heading? Approximate height - very low, very high? I'm sure someone on here could help. Alternatively, the various spotters forums are usually the sources of answers to such questions.

Good luck.

Many thanks for the replys: sorry but relying on the Mrs who thinks a healthy interest in aviation is "boring and pointless" so you can see what I am up against. To be quiet frank the range of aircraft discussed last night ranged from Rutan's to Avanti's to F22's so you can see the issue I have!!!!

And yes I know the F35 has, if at all, barely flown, more like the X-35 of course....I was being ironic about seeing that particular aircraft hence the "???!!"

However I will try and get a bit more info from her to see if I can be helpful to you all.....

If it was an F-22 the aviation enthusiast community would be buzzing!

See following for the details of logs, movements and heads-ups on exercises, etc.
