Yeovilton area 20 Sept 2010 1720 ish

A large quad just went over my house near Yeovilton. I used to live in Maidenhead and I would estimate the height to be slightly lower that departing 747-400s used to make as they went up the "Burnham Gap" between Maidenhead and Burnham.

The engines were equally spaced along the wing and, as far as I could see there were none of the winglets that would identify a 747-400. The tail appeared to have a yellow blob on it. If I had to guess I'd say a Lufthansa A380 which seems faintly ludicrous.

Any ideas?

Perhaps an A380 returning from the Filton Airbus family day?

An A380 overflew BRS earlier in the week, probably the same day. From the video I saw I thought it was in standard Airbus livery though, not a carriers...

EDIT: Found this on youtube from the 18th, not the same date it seems.
