Yeovilton area 20 Sept 2010 1720 ish
A large quad just went over my house near Yeovilton. I used to live in Maidenhead and I would estimate the height to be slightly lower that departing 747-400s used to make as they went up the "Burnham Gap" between Maidenhead and Burnham.
The engines were equally spaced along the wing and, as far as I could see there were none of the winglets that would identify a 747-400. The tail appeared to have a yellow blob on it. If I had to guess I'd say a Lufthansa A380 which seems faintly ludicrous.
Any ideas?

An A380 overflew BRS earlier in the week, probably the same day. From the video I saw I thought it was in standard Airbus livery though, not a carriers...
