A380 gone tech at MAN after go-around.

Anyone know what's wrong with the Emirates A380 that did a touch and go-around at Manchester at about 12:20 today in strong cross winds? It landed OK off a second approach and should have departed at 14:10.

It's still on the ground, estimated to depart tomorrow at 14:00 according to the Emirates website.

Story already on the Manchester thread in Airports, airlines etc.

FWIW it appears to be an electrical fault.

Apparently the 380 inbound from Dubai today will carry the parts and both are due to depart at 1400L, so that should be interesting if they taxi together

An A380 going tech now there's a surprise , at Heathrow they must take it in turns between the various Airlines , EK, QF , SQ, in fact we have renamed it the A180 , as it normally does one back to stand ....

I think it's still there. Is the electrical problem related to the go-around?

What sort of electrical problem would cause a go around?

The electrical problem didn't cause the go-around. The aircraft went around very late due to crosswinds and touched down in the process resulting in quite a hard landing.
