Malaga Bird Strike ??
Any info on a multiple bird strike to an easyJet at Malaga on departure on Monday 16th Aug (yesterday). Aircraft reportedly returned to Malaga and was awaiting repairs.

I second that Sir George.
Congratulations to the gull squadron leader for a great job in getting the rest of them down safely. That's another feather in his cap. Hope they don't get hauled in by the beaks.

LOL-ish.
But, I don't think the OP was suggesting it was a major incident to be fair!
What is the aversion to Birdstrikes?
If we 'spotters' are allowed to ask about stuff then surely this is still a reasonable question? I would be genuinely interested to know what damage is caused in this incident, if the aircraft was 'awaiting repair'.
I've been on a flight affected by a birdstrike and I know it's not a big deal before you start, but most of the things on this forum are not a big deal either and they don't come in for the barrage of, in most cases lets face it, rather tired jokes.
Anyway, unless gofer had posted it in the pilots section originally, I think the ribbing is a little harsh!

That's my uncle He still flies, albeit these days in something significantly slower and made by Cirrus...

L4key:
Yes, gofer posted it in the Flight Deck N&R and it got the response it got, until moved here between #12 and #13. Hence, it looks a bit beaten.
You comment is very fair.

We all try to help here (well, most of us) but it is difficult to know what more than
"Aircraft reportedly returned to Malaga and was awaiting repairs." was being sought. Captain's name? Number of pax? Registration? Time of event?
It appears obvious that 'gofer' in fact does not need anything else. So, case closed?

Gofer, no wonder we get a bad name... As if pilots give a rats ass about a bird strike, something that happens daily. It's not even like you're an innocent newbie! I take back my support!

Thanks BOAC - sorry I didn't get back sooner, but duty calls between visits to PPRUNE.
Enjoyed the laugh guys - Both engines had visitors and luckily only 11 rotor blades were replaced overnight and the A/C is back online. Seagull Squadron seeking replacements for those MIA.
Hope none of you have all engines stuffed with bird - nasty things have been known to happen in such cases. Congrats to the crew for reacting correctly.

Leap of Faith Norven Munky’s Weblog
Also KLM1673 at Barcelona 2004 where a single bird was struck by the nose gear. The damage from the bird disrupted the nose wheel steering to the extent the aircraft left the runway on landing. Fortunately both the above resulted in relatively few injuries to crew and pax, however birdstrikes are a very serious issue that have caused the loss of aircraft and their crew.
Airports and the more switched on airlines have significant resources deployed to minimise the risk birds pose.
