There wasn't a flight scheduled today for arrival at Harare from London. There was ET 873 a 763 from Addis Ababa.

According to FLIGHT STATS.
Now you're getting it, first thing I checked too.

The Press obviously didn't.

And a 'scheduled drill' is no drill at all.

So aside from some Foolish People mindlessly spewing information which had not been verified, and other Foolish People mindlessly believing it, some actual useful emergency response practice was probably accomplished.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
