Just seen a jet !!

Noticed on 'radarvirtuel' a Boeing 762 @ FL 350 a few miles south of where I live.

Popped out and there it was !! A fairly short contrail but nice to see it.

Company is ABX AIR

Doesn't need a lot to make me happy ;-)

Hope we can see a lot more in the comming days.

A Lufthansa A340-600 over the Irish Sea en route from Frankfurt to Chicago (LH430) seems to be the only currently tracked aircraft in UK airspace according to Casper Live Flight Tracker (with 15 minute delay).

Still, it's a start.

One minute later: And a Jet2.com 757 on a positioning flight passing over Hull.

Was watching BBC News earlier (around 10ish) and they showed a contrailing jet over Heathrow airport which caused a bit of excitement for the assembled news staff. Must have been one of the above

In fact, I'm just watching a contrailing airliner cruising past to the north of me, routing SE to NW. Looks to be a wide body.

I was out with my furry friend on Redhill common this morning and looked up at about 10.10 to see a contrail heading north-west.
