United 767 return to LHR 3/4/10
Any of you LHR ATC chaps know why the United 767 did an airborne return to 27R yesterday afternoon? Landed overweight at about 1330L. Beautiful touchdown, then pitched up markedly to the point of touching the tailskid. Wondering if it was a reduced flap touchdown, as both engines going when it taxied past us. Having never done an overweght landing on my own 767, wonder if pitch up after touchdown is more likely when heavy, as it doesn't happen in the sim.

You'd be better asking Mr Bernoulli - let's just be grateful that it was an airborne return!

Oldchina. I've got 18 years on type, hence my curiosity. Perhaps you might wait for the thread to develop before you start assuming contributers experience?
